FloatMe offers two types of Floats, Standard and Instant.
Standard Floats use the traditional ACH transfer method. These are available to qualifying members at no additional cost, and are usually deposited into your bank account in 1-3 business days, depending on your bank.
Instant Floats use a payment transfer system to get the money into your bank account more quickly. They generally arrive in less than 30 minutes, though some banks can take up to a few hours to make the funds available. While FloatMe always sends the payment within minutes, your financial institution can vary in how long it takes to make those funds available to you.
There is an additional fee associated with this type of Float, as it helps FloatMe cover the extra cost of transferring the money right away.
The Instant Float Fee is based upon the amount you are requesting to Instant Float:

The fee amount is disclosed when agreeing to take out the Float, and prior to accepting the transaction.
Indiana Residents ONLY: Instant Float Fees are capped at the greater of 5% of the Float amount or $5.00, in accordance with I.C. 28-8-6-803. For advances of $100.00 or less, this fee will not exceed $5.00. For any advance exceeding $100.00, the fee will not exceed 5% of the total Float amount. Note: You always have the right to receive your Float proceeds at no cost via our Standard Delivery (ACH) option, which initiates within one business day.
If you choose to receive an “Instant” Float, the respective Instant fee will be debited at the time you repay the Float.
Note that the timeframes described above are only estimates. Once we send a Float to your Linked Account, we do not control when your bank will make it available to you.
Obtaining a Float without Paying the Membership Fee. Eligible users may access a Float without paying the Membership Fee. To do so, email nocost@floatme.com with the subject line “No Cost” and state that you would like a Float at no cost.
